JNC Pinoy Foodmart is one of the filipino restaurants listed in Chula Vista, California. The business is registered at 943 Otay Lakes Rd #D, Chula Vista, CA 91913; use this page to check its hours, phone number and Google rating before you make the trip.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Chula Vista, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 9 am–7 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach JNC Pinoy Foodmart at (619) 421-1090; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, jncpinoyfood.com.
Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 145 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Chula Vista is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Chula Vista follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Came here for Ilocos empanadas. These have been viral lately. It’s a Filipino street food. Think of a taco that’s deep fried, filled with protein, mung bean sprouts, egg. It’s the size of your hand. All the posters said made to order but they already had a basket of premade ready to serve. We got the sisig and longanisa. Couldn’t tell the difference. It’s very filling and it’s not something I would crave for. JNC is also a mini mart with a section of vegetables, condiments, snacks, rice, chips. They also have deli hot food. We got a two item combo. Picked pancit, kara kara and sisig. Portions were huge. Great bang for your buck. Flavors were lacking in the pancit. Sisig was crispy and the egg plant in Kara Kara was soft. A few tables inside to dine. All in one stop shop.

First time trying the ilocos empanadas and safe to say it smacks. Had to get both the sisig and longanisa to try it out. I like the sisig more but you can’t go wrong either way!! Bbq chicken skewers were fire, would def get again next time I come back. Lumpia was classic and turon as dessert to close out. Support your local family run businesses! Everyone was super friendly and helpful with suggestions 🥳🥳

Food is a hit or miss depending on the day, will say the Ilocos empanadas (both longanisa and sisig) are one of the best things they sell there. Just keep in mind that they don’t sell them until after 12pm if you’re walking in, it’ll also take 30-60 minutes for your order depending on how busy it is (thanks TikTok) and if you don’t want to wait you can call in but the minimum order is 10. Information about all of this should definitely be posted somewhere especially considering all the social media attention they’re getting.

The food is absolutely amazing. The empanadas aren't too greasy and they have amazing flavor. They're even great reheated in the air fryer. The lumpias are out of this world and the variety they have is crazy! I usually don't like plantains, but the plantain turon is also great and highly recommend. The service is great, it really does gives homey vibes and gives you a great sense of being a comforting and fantastic local restaurant.

I’ve tried so many Ilocos empanadas, none of them ever hit the mark… until I tried the one at JNC Pinoy Food I drove four hours round trip just to try it, and I can confidently say it was absolutely worth it. The empanada was perfectly crisp, flavorful, and filled with traditional Filipino longanisa, which instantly took me back to my childhood mornings eating breakfast with my family. If you’ve been searching for a real, authentic Ilocos empanada, this place is a must. I literally drove hours for it and would do it again in a heartbeat. 10/10 — hands down the best Ilocos empanada 🇵🇭✨
